Hungry Tiger, Too

Tonight was band meeting at the Hungry Tiger.

Topic 1: PDX DREAM TEAM

We were recently asked to be a part of the PDX Dream Team, a fashion show by local fashion designer Chelsea Erhart. Her concept is to showcase the talent and work of other local artists by having them conceptualize and cat-walk their own pieces. When Minh Tran suggested us to her, I peed myself a little. Have you ever seen that Sex & the City episode in which Carrie models a dress by D&G as part of a fashion show mixing supermodels with "real" life artists? well, she ends up tripping and falling on her ass. So, Its going to be just like that...but hopefully we won't fall. So we came up with the basics for our shirts. Based, of course, on classic Serious Business imagery. Danny's is going to be a briefcase that opens (velcro perhaps!?) to reveal dollar signs, mine will be a giant smiley face with a changeable mouth (happy, sad, angry), and Jeramie's is going to be a flip-phone that flips to reveal a number pad that instead of numbers has eight-balls, bombs, more happy faces & dollar signs, ying yangs, etc...basically anything you could find on a pog. Pretty bad-ass if i may say so myself.

Topic 2: ANAL BUM COVER

We decided to bypass the EP trend and put out our first recordings as an LP. 10 songs, 45 mother fucking minutes. Its going to be glorious. We recently finalized the first track, BFF Song, and its definitely a new level for us. Maybe its the fact that its the only song we've never recorded, but I cant seem to fathom how good it sounds. A very, very, promising start. So anyways, we discussed naming the album. So far 'Heartbreak & Milkshakes" is the most promising. We want the album name to embody what we've created with these ten songs... which, to us, is a positive, fun, honest, and self-deprecating view of ourselves. furthermore, this album is our uniquely positive outlook on life, life with a grain of salt, a way to 'turn that frown upside down', something we individually embody as people. so yeah, Heartbreak & Milkshakes. probably.

then we ate some food, smoked some cigarettes, and went home. rad!
